65 Years and Going Strong
It's Your Community. We're Your Theatre.

San Luis Obispo Little Theatre is proud to be one of the oldest continuously running community theatres in the nation. In 1947, SLOLT began its theatrical journey with Blithe Spirit. Since then, over 600 productions have been staged in 25+ locations around the county. Through the generosity of the City of San Luis Obispo, we've enjoyed 17 years in our current locale, the former SLO County Public Library, in the heart of “SLO Town!”
SLOLT is committed to providing a wide variety of productions from musicals, comedies and dramas to our original fundraising shows, all of which consistently perform to sold-out audiences. SLOLT is also the home of our acclaimed Academy of Creative Theatre, helping young performers develop life-long theatrical skills and build self-esteem while having fun. SLOLT is eternally grateful to our amazing volunteers and donors who make it possible for us to continue offering the highest-quality in community theatre. Thank you!
MISSION: San Luis Obispo Little Theatre is a non-profit, volunteer-based performing arts organization committed to presenting quality theatrical productions for the entertainment and enrichment of our community.

VISION: San Luis Obispo Little Theatre engages all members of the community in developing a deeper awareness, appreciation and understanding of our human spirit and potential through compelling and entertaining live theatre performed by local volunteer talent. A variety of outreach efforts motivate new community members to become involved personally in all aspects of theatre, from performance to set construction to lighting and sound design. Both the theatrical productions and the management of the organization meet the highest artistic and ethical standards. Due to its passion, commitment and effectiveness, San Luis Obispo Little Theatre is recognized locally, regionally, and nationally as an exemplary community organization and indispensable community resource.
