Welcome to the excitement and fun of theatre! Long-time actress and teacher Miss Kerry will lead students though role playing, movement, improvisation, character creation, song, and theatre games. Students will learn basic theatre and performance skills and will work as an ensemble to create a theatrical story using their bodies, voices, and imaginations! The class will end with a fun performance for family and friends. A great class for both returning drama kids and newbies!

MUSICAL THEATRE

Like to sing and dance...at the same time? This class will allow students hands-on experience bringing stories from the page to the stage through music, movement, and storytelling. Under the direction of musical theatre actor and choreographer, Zach Johnson (who will be directing The Sound of Music for SLOLT), students will perform in musical theatre numbers- from classic to contemporary- to be shared at the end of the session!

When it comes to theatre, improvisation is the art of acting without a prepared script. This class will focus on fun, physical, and inspiring improvisational exercises designed to help the young actor react truthfully onstage. Taught by long-time improviser and actor Lester Wilson, this is a wonderful class for the creative kid in your family. We'll be working on our feet, so get ready to have a whole lot of fun!
